Woodleigh Home & School Committee
A great way to get involved in your school!
Woodleigh has a very strong and active Home & School Committee. We organise
fundraising activities and ensure the money raised today is used for today’s children.
Much of the state-of-the-art equipment that you see around the school is a direct result
of the Home and School’s fundraising activities. Recently, funds raised have
financed the purchase of:-
* Data projectors & screens for the hall and library
* Digital cameras
* Barcode scanners for the library
* Sports uniforms for school teams
* Activeboards for Senior classrooms
Although fundraising is an important part of what we do, our activities are about more than money. We also aim to foster a great community atmosphere amongst parents and families at Woodleigh school. The annual Quiz Night is hugely popular and a chance for Woodleigh parents and the local community to get together for a great night out. For the children we hold regular sausage sizzles, a School Disco, and our annual Food & Fun Fest, just to name a few.

The Home and School Committee is always keen to have new members. We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm in the school staffroom, and all parents and caregivers are welcome to attend (please check your newsletter as occasionally the meetings do get rescheduled).
If you can’t come to these meetings but would like to help out occasionally at Home and School events, we would love to hear from you. We’ll add your name to our list of potential helpers, and contact you by phone or email when we’re planning an event and need volunteers.
Likewise, if you have any suggestions for fundraising activities, or suggestions on where the fundraising money should be spent, please contact the Woodleigh Home & School Committee, either by email woodleighhs@woodleigh.school.nz or see any of the members listed below.
