Keenum, McCoy or Haskins? Odds on Which QB Will Start Week 1 for the Redskins

Despite being supposed to be one of the worst teams from the NFL at 2019, the Washington Redskins have some major decisions to make when it comes to the quarterback position. With Week two of the NFL preseason upon us, oddsmakers have launched props on which guy will make the starting quarterback position once the normal season arrives.
BetOnline is dealing Case Keenum since the +100 preferred to be the beginning in Week 1, together with Colt McCoy (+200) and Dwayne Haskins (+250) because the underdogs. Even the’Skins regular-season OVER/UNDER win total was set at 6.5 at the shop.
Washington head coach Jay Gruden has a huge choice on his hands. Gruden, who’s Listed As The Fave are the first coach fired this season, has not made any announcements as to which man will get the starting job, however visiting Keenum since the likeliest player to do this is reasonable.
According to The Washington Post, Keenum has been”probably the Redskins’ starting quarterback for now.” Keenum was traded to the Redskins from Denver in the offseason following an abysmal campaign with the Broncos where he threw for 18 touchdowns and 3,890 yards combined with 15 interceptions. He seems like the one that was most powerful, although keenum will not be regarded as the alternative under centre for Redskins fans.
McCoy has been handed the reins of the beginning job last year following Alex Smith endured a barbarous season-ending leg injury, yet the Texas product endured a season-ending injury of his own just a few weeks following Smith’s.
The 32-year-old has been using the Redskins because 2014 and knows the offense better than another signal-callers on the roster, so don’t be amazed it Gruden chooses to go with McCoy from the gate.
It is probably going to be a long year in D.C., which means Haskins likely will not be hurried into action. The Redskins appeared to get a sneak by selecting Haskins using the No. 15 pick at the 2019 NFL Draft, but the former Ohio State standout fought in his first preseason action. Haskins completed 8 of 14 passes for 117 yards in his debut against Cleveland but was intercepted twice.
Haskins is famous for his powerful hands and poise under pressure, and he has already viewed as the quarterback of the future for your club. However, together with Keenum and McCoy in the fold, this makes more sense for Haskins to watch from the sidelines for the first couple weeks of this year. The Redskins might easily be from controversy.
With tough games against the Eagles, Cowboys, Bears and Patriots in four out of their first five months, Haskins is much better off to the seat. If Washington is from playoff contention soon after, giving Haskins a shot later on might be the most suitable course of action.
