Liverpool have agreed a #7m charge with Rangers for its transport of winger Ryan Kent into the Ibrox club.
Even the 22-year-old Englishman spent last year on loan scoring six goals and making 43 looks.
Kent featured in January 2016 for Liverpool during pre-season, but his only competitive match for the Premier League club.
Terms have still to be agreed with the player.
The winners were hesitant to allow the player move out on loan.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has already signed four wingers this summer – Jordan Jones out of Kilmarnock, Jake Hastie from Motherwell and Brandon Barker from Manchester City, plus Sheyi Ojo on loan from Liverpool.
Rangers’ movement comes a day after they dropped three points behind Celtic in the peak of the league after losing 2-0 at home.
Although Hastie has combined Rotherham United on loan Ojo and jones came on at Ibrox.
