Parent trustees are elected for a three-year term. Elections are held every 3 years. The Board is also able to co-opt additional trustee members if required.
Each year the Board prepares a report that includes a summary of the progress the school has made in relation to goals and targets that support student achievement.

The Board is responsible for governing the school and in consultation with parents, staff and students, sets the educational vision, values and direction through the School Charter.
The Board welcomes communication from parents in relation to the overall governance of the school. Contact can be made via the school office Ph. 06 753 9585. Copies of meeting minutes are available at the school office.
The Charter includes long-term goals and annual targets for the strategic management of curriculum, personnel, finance, property and administration that ensure the provision of a safe, inclusive environment and quality education for all students.
The Principal and staff are responsible for delivering on the Charter and annual targets, supported by the Board of Trustees. Educational leadership and management of the school is the responsibility of the Principal.
